The World Fleet Statistics (or Statistical Tables as they are sometime known), are published annually like the Lloyd's Register of Ships and reflect the information contained therein.
Prior to 1886, the Statistical Tables only covered new ships classed by Lloyd's Register according to the material, sail/steam and where the ships where built, together with numbers of ships disclassed and never classed by Lloyd's Register.
The Heritage & Education Centre have made historic copies of these Statistical Tables available, dating from 1878 until 2000. Please note that this collection is under Lloyd's Register copyright until the year 2000. Statistics were not compiled between the years 1940 to 1946 due to the Second World War.
The material is available to download in PDF format, with optical character recognition (OCR) having been applied.
