This lecture explored the importance and subsequent decline of sail ships and how technology being used in shipping today is seeking to once again harness the power of wind to reduce fossil fuel consumption.
The lecture was led by Laura Boon, the Lloyd's Register Foundation Public Curator of Contemporary Maritime at the National Maritime Museum.
