Vessel stranded near Sandgate on 11 November 1891. "It was not at first quite certain whether she would prove a total loss, and the Committee therefore decided to make a recorded of 'Stranded 11.91' against her name in the Register Book. Some hopes have continued to be entertained that when the cargo was out the vessel might be floated and on two occasions the Committee have determined on this account not to alter the existing record. On Saturday last, however, the work of blowing up the wreck commenced and the case is therefore again brought under the Committee's notice with a view to the alteration of the posting 'Stranded 11.91' to 'Wrecked 11.91'."
