The Forsakringsaktiebolaget Atlantica sent a letter to Aug Bolten saying that the "Svitzer Bergungsgesellschaft" has declared not to be in a position to undertake the steamer's salvage. However the owners of the Oakfield with which the Amaler had had collision have advised the representatives of the Insurance Company that they were still willing to make a trial to save the steamer.
